How Bitcoin moved
Bitcoin was at $66,881.03 when the figure came out. Fifteen minutes later it was unchanged, and an hour later 0.55% higher. Its high-to-low range in the hour after was 0.83% of its price, against 0.49% in the hour before.
What made it matter
Since 2021, International Imports releases in the two weeks before a Fed decision have moved Bitcoin less than those at other times: a median volatility ratio of 0.97x across 23, against 1.25x across 47. This one came out 13 days before the Federal Reserve's 20 March rate decision. Its own ratio of 0.96x compares with 0.97x for those, about what its circumstances would suggest.
