How Bitcoin moved
Bitcoin was at $9,099.04 when the figure came out. Fifteen minutes later it was 0.13% lower, and an hour later 0.16% lower. Its high-to-low range in the hour after was 0.69% of its price, against 0.45% in the hour before.
What made it matter
Since 2021, International Imports releases in the two weeks before a Fed decision have moved Bitcoin less than those at other times: a median volatility ratio of 0.97x across 23, against 1.25x across 47. This one came out 9 days before the Federal Reserve's 15 March rate decision. Its own ratio of 0.90x compares with 0.97x for those, about what its circumstances would suggest.
