The data released by Bureau of Economic Analysis for Personal Income and Outlays on 26th March, 2021 has come in at a decrease to -7.0% for February 2021. Compared to the previous release for January 2021 at 10.3%, we can see that consumer sentiment is still decreasing month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of ETH's price during the Personal Income release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 90,648 ETH with prices swinging between 1,612.32 and 1,634.88, representing a swing of 1.38%. Subsequently, the trading volume remain relatively unchanged at 92,131 ETH. Price action ranged from a low of 1,621.06 to a high of 1,661.70, a significant difference of 2.45%

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 6,598 ETH in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 1,621.40 to a high of 1,629.52, a 0.50% change. Immediately following, trading volume decreased by 34% to 4,351 ETH. At this time, Ethereum hit a low of 1,621.06 with a high of 1,630.58, a change of 0.58%.
