The data released by Bureau of Economic Analysis for Personal Income and Outlays on 29th January, 2021 has come in at an increase to 0.8% for December 2020. Compared to the previous release for November 2020 at -0.8%, we can see that consumer sentiment is increasing month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of ETH's price during the Personal Income release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 559,892 ETH with prices swinging between 1,345.00 and 1,429.99, representing a swing of 5.94%. Prices ranged between a low of 1,404.43 to a high of 1,412.39, a 0.56% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased by 48% to 20,050 ETH. At this time, Ethereum hit a low of 1,407.80 with a high of 1,418.00, a change of 0.72%.
