The data released by Bureau of Economic Analysis for Personal Income and Outlays on 30th August, 2018 has come in at an increase to 0.6% for July 2018. Compared to the previous release for June 2018 at 0.5%, we can see that consumer sentiment is increasing month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of ETH's price during the Personal Income release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 63,866 ETH with prices swinging between 275.60 and 282.57, representing a swing of 2.47%. Subsequently, the trading volume decreased by 23% to 49,319 ETH. Price action ranged from a low of 274.55 to a high of 279.82, a difference of 1.88%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 2,448 ETH in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 276.68 to a high of 278.24, a 0.56% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased significantly by 123% to 5,462 ETH. At this time, Ethereum hit a low of 274.63 with a high of 276.99, a significant change of 0.85%.
