The data released by Bureau of Census, Bureau of Economic Analysis for International Exports in Goods and Services on 6th December, 2018 has come in at an increase to $214.3B for October 2018. Compared to the previous release for September 2018 at $213.9B, we can see that foreign trade is increasing month over month.
To see the impact and volatility of ETH's price during the International Exports release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.
4-Hours Chart Analysis
In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 72,798 ETH with prices swinging between 98.92 and 103.57, representing a swing of 4.49%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased significantly by 120% to 160,253 ETH. Price action ranged from a low of 96.02 to a high of 100.17, a difference of 4.14%
15-Minutes Chart Analysis
Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 6,016 ETH in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 99.02 to a high of 99.87, a 0.85% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased considerably by 67% to 10,021 ETH. At this time, Ethereum hit a low of 98.16 with a high of 99.68, a significant change of 1.52%.
