How Bitcoin moved
Bitcoin was at $61,638.17 when the figure came out. Fifteen minutes later it was unchanged, and an hour later 0.41% higher. Its high-to-low range in the hour after was 0.79% of its price, against 0.91% in the hour before.
What made it matter
Since 2021, International Exports releases in the two weeks before a Fed decision have moved Bitcoin less than those at other times: a median volatility ratio of 0.97x across 23, against 1.25x across 47. This one came out the day after the Federal Reserve's 3 November rate decision. Its own ratio of 0.81x compares with 1.25x for those, so it moved the price less than its circumstances would suggest.

International Exports measures economic transactions between a nation and its trading partners, showing the amount of a country's exports for a given period. The BEA and Census Bureau reports on the U.S. balance of payments (BOP), covering goods and services that move out of the country.
